ICEBREAKER

ICEBREAKER  is an early-in-development tabletop naval game where fleets of icebreakers engage one another as ground forces march upon the surrounding sheets of ice. 

Set within the expanded polar region of an alt history mid 1980s. The Cold War has frozen over.

“Wind speeds are nearly always much greater than 45mph, the air is filled thickly with heavy snow and cutting ice. Lightning strikes as it pleases, sensors are nearly blinded. These effects only worsen as elevation rises.

Warfare has devolved by centuries.

Ships unleash broadsides of autocannon fire into men and metal  alike. Infantry scale the hulls of leviathan icebreakers, dragging themselves along grappling wires. Snowmobile-mounted cavalry launch barrages of recoilless rifle fire into exposed flanks and towering ship bridges.

This is a war of cannon fire, rotary wing craft, and hand-held breaching charges.”

ICEBREAKER GROUND AND AIR COMBAT DEMO:

The current Icebreaker demo is v.5, and includes ground and air combat between US and Soviet forces. The attached PDFs are all you need to play.
